Fingrid tests of Emaldo® batteries have now been conducted for the reserve market

Fingrid’s tests for participation in the frequency reserve market for Emaldo® batteries were successfully completed on January 11-14, 2025.

Next, Emaldo® processes all the test data from the various sites to Fingrid for actual approval. The approval process at Fingrid takes a maximum of 8 weeks.

A more detailed description of the process can be found here.

In other words, customers will soon be able to enjoy reserve market returns on their Emaldo® devices. Before this, Emaldo® pays a fixed fee of €150/month/device.
