Reserve market
The electricity storage systems we supply are able to participate in all 8 electricity frequency reserve markets (FCR-N, FCR-D up and down, aFRR up and down, mFRR up and down, FFR), which regulate the frequency of the electricity grid in different ways*.
These markets, which operate at the time of electricity use or after, are critical for the operation of the electricity grid.
Spot market
Batteries are able to participate in Spot trading*, which determines the price of electricity on the exchange for the next day's usage hours. This market entity of 16 countries is the largest of the electricity markets in which batteries are able to participate.
Elbas Market
Electricity storage facilities are able to participate in Intraday Elbas trading*, which adjusts the amount of electricity before the quarter of use. Intraday trading is a rapidly growing market entity of 16 countries. The more renewable energy sources there are, the more Intraday trading is needed.
Electricity time shift
Time shifting of electricity is a traditional way for a battery to generate savings. Charge electricity when it is cheap, use when it is expensive. Suitable for all electricity contracts with a consumption effect in addition to exchange-traded electricity contracts. Reduces the price of electricity by up to 5-15%.
Transfer fees are often lower at night.
Supporting the electricity connection
Does the new machine need short-term power peaks, but you don't want to increase the electrical connection? Or do you want more power from the electric car charging station than the electrical connection provides?
The battery can support the electricity connection in case of momentary extra power needs, thus avoiding the costs of increasing the electricity connection.
Solar power storage
Electricity storage enables the installation of approximately 20-50% larger solar power plants on sites, which saves on energy prices, electricity transmission fees and electricity taxes as the electricity can be stored for later use.
Alternatively, excess yield is often sold at a higher price than the exchange-traded electricity price on the Intraday or reserve markets.
Backup Power
Electrical storage can be connected as backup power to ensure that production processes and other operations are not disrupted by power outages.
We even have solutions that can be considered "uninterruptible power supply" with a connection time of less than 20 ms.
*The customer's electricity connection and electricity contract may impose restrictions on which markets can be participated in.
