Pilot projects for colored solar panels

Solar panels don’t have to be boring black. Nowadays, solar panels are available where the glass on the front of the panel is tinted, creating a beautiful appearance for the panels. We have included these attractive options in our offering. We are now looking for pilot sites where these panels, which have never been seen before in Finland, will be installed!

There are panels available in six different colors from two different manufacturers. The tinting slightly reduces the power of the panel, but not as much as you might think. For example, an orange panel with an N-Type cell and TOPCon technology has a power of 380W, while a black panel of the same size would have a power of 420-430W. I am really excited about these new types of panels!

Terracotta blends beautifully with red brick

The picture below is from the Netherlands. The red brick facade of the building has orange terracotta solar panels installed, which blend in beautifully with the overall look. When I saw the picture, I asked myself, how many red brick buildings are there in Finland? A lot!

Colored panels, for example, would make the white end wall of an apartment building, which is very common in Finland, feel comfortable.

What about the pilot site?

In principle, a pilot site can be any site that wants to purchase colored solar panels instead of conventional panels. However, it would be particularly desirable to find a site that would install them either on a wall or, for example, on a roof in a visible location.
