Emaldo® batteries enable households, housing companies and corporate sites to earn passive income by participating in the electricity frequency reserve market as part of the Emaldo® Grid Rewards program, enjoy the optimization of exchange-traded electricity and, if the site has a solar power system, store its excess production for later use.
The first compensations of the Emaldo® Grid Rewards program have now been paid to customers whose devices were installed during October. Currently, customers are still paid a fixed amount of €150/month/device, as actual trading in the electricity frequency reserve market has not yet started. However, the required amount of devices for Fingrid’s contracts has now been installed and the testing process towards Fingrid has begun for Emaldo. Actual trading will begin as soon as this process is completed during the winter. (edit 6.1.2025) Emaldo published a schedule that Fingrid’s tests would be carried out on 11-14.1.2025.
When actual trading in the reserve market begins, settlements will increase. Based on the average estimates for 2024, the average settlement would have been €217.19/month.
